Damage Description and Dimensions: Category of Work
| The development of Detailed Damage Descriptions and Dimensions depends on how FEMA categorizes the work. FEMA uses the following categories to organize types of eligible work: - Emergency Work (Completed within 6 months of disaster declaration)
- Category A: Debris Removal
- Category B: Emergency Protective Measures
- Permanent Work (Completed within 18 months of disaster declaration)
- Category C: Roads and Bridges
- Category D: Water Control Facilities
- Category E: Buildings and Equipment
- Category F: Utilities
- Category G: Parks, Recreational Facilities, and Other Items
FEMA uses separate Site Inspection Reports for each category of work in order to capture details unique to each category. |
