Building Collaborative Partnerships
A partnership can be built using the following steps:
  1. Identify the right partners. Collaboration works best when the right people are engaged.
  2. Establish a shared purpose and goals. Collaboration works best when partners have a shared purpose and goals that all partners value.
  3. Agree on processes. Collaboration works best when partners understand, have clarity, and agree on processes that are designed to foster open exchange.
  4. Implement and sustain. Groups sustain focus when participants see how collaborative efforts achieve shared goals. Leadership and accountability are keys to sustaining a collaborative effort.
