National Preparedness System

The National Preparedness System is an integrated set of guidance, concepts, processes, and tools that enable the whole community to meet the National Preparedness Goal.

The system is made up of the six components shown in the graphic on the right. More information is available on the website for the National Preparedness System (https://www.fema.gov/national-preparedness-system).

Outside of the cycle, encompassing all components, is Whole Community, the National Incident Management System (NIMS), and Core Capabilities.
