Has your organization conducted a BPA and a BIA to determine the effects of a cyber disruption of essential functions?
Federal Continuity Directive 2 (FCD 2) and Continuity Guidance Circular 2 (CGC 2) provide a methodology and guidance for:
- Conducting a BPA to examine, identify, and map the functional processes.
- Conducting a BIA to evaluate the risk to essential functions from various threats and hazards, to include cyber disruptions.
Note: FEMA National Continuity Programs (NCP) offers a 2-day MEF workshop on how to conduct a BPA/BIA. If you are interested in learning more about the workshop please send an email to FEMA-CONTINUITY-PRACTITIONER@DHS.GOV.
