Example of ICS Structure at a School

ICS includes the ability to expand or contract the organization to meet the needs of the situation. The diagram below shows an example of an ICS structure for a school emergency.

Incident Commander next level is the Public Information Officer, Safety Officer, Liaison Officer, bottom level is the Operations (Search & Rescue, Student Care, Medical, Security), Planning (Documentation, Situation Analysis), Logistics (Supplies, Staffing, Communications), and Finance/Admin (Timekeeping, Purchasing).
