Reissuing Determination Letters – Appeal Accepted

Once an appeal is accepted, the community must document the change in the substantial damage determination either by:

  • Reissuing official determination letters
  • Providing notes in board meeting minutes

Reissued determination letters should include:

  • Property information
  • Final substantial damage determination and basis for change
  • Consequences of the new determination
  • Permit requirements
  • Contact information
  • Documentation to support the change
