Section 706 of 47 U.S.C. 606, Priority Communications – War Powers of the President
  • Provides the basis for regulations of radio, television, and cellular communications providers‘ support for delivery of alerts and warnings from the government to people during “a state of public peril or disaster or other national emergency.”
  • The Priority Communications – War Powers of the President provides the President access to commercial communications during a state of public peril, or disaster, or other national emergencies.
