Agriculture is the largest economic sector in the U.S.

U.S. agriculture is valued at approximately $230 billion and accounts for more than 15 percent of our gross domestic product. Each year, the United States engages in more than $1 trillion worth of agricultural-related activities and services, making agriculture the largest employer in the United States. One out of every six jobs is related to agriculture in some way.
