What to Expect Post-monitoring

After a monitoring visit, non-federal entities should receive a letter.

The post-monitoring letter may include:

  • Written reviews and recommendations, including who was part of the monitoring meeting.

  • A copy of this letter is sent to the Authorizing Official

  • No surprises; agreed-upon compliance issues and necessary follow-up that is needed until the non-federal entity is compliant.

  • Recognition of what works; identification of promising practices, favorable developments, and successes.
